Subject: Next ESSC Meeting Is at LSD Warehouse Tuesday, February 14, 2006
ESSC Teacher Representatives and Elementary School Principals -
This e-mail message is being sent as a reminder that the next meeting of our Elementary Science Steering Committee (ESSC) will be held Tuesday, February 14th, starting at 4:30 PM. However, please note that unlike most ESSC meetings, this one is being held at the LSD Warehouse to provide an opportunity for ESSC teacher representatives to meet with Peggy Barnes and see where and how our elementary science kits are assembled. If you have items that you would like to have included on our agenda, please let us know via e-mail ASAP. And please make sure that your school is represented at this meeting on February 14th. Thanks!
As attachments to this e-mail, you should find the following:
corrected page T6 for the teacher's edition of the "magnets" supplemental mini-unit to go with science unit "3c" -- copies of which should be distributed to each third-grade teacher in your school.
Note that you can also find most of the above information at any time on our ESSC web site at:
Also, the pre-registration deadline for this year's Michigan Science Teachers Association Annual Conference, being held at the Lansing Center March 2-4, is February 9th. More information about the conference, including the registration form, can be found on-line at:
Please share this information with your building colleagues.
Finally, since most ESSC teacher representatives also serve as their school's PROM/SE Science Associate, keep in mind that the next PROM/SE all-day science workshop is Tuesday, February 28th. RSVPs need to be to Marty Couretas by Thursday, February 16th. You can also contact Marty (244-1246 or firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions or need more details.
And that about covers it for now. Hope to see all of you on the 14th at the Warehouse!
